Wolf Whistle!

There is no doubt that supporters whistling at or booing the other team or its players is a lack of fairplay and not very much in the spirit of sport. It is an obvious lack of respect when it comes to whistling the national anthem of the other team during international competitions.

But dirty tactics are anything but new in competitive sport and, particularly in the wonderful world of football where the ideal of sport rates so much higher than money, unnerving your opponent is actually a must do...ask Zidane!

So why do all French politicians unanimously cry wolf when the national anthem is whistled during a friendly game? Aren't they being a little heavy handed when they recommend the match be stopped should it happen again?

Made me think of Liesel who had to salute officers and take part in many events she actually didn't rally to or didn't even understand.

Sounds like what what our leaders wnat from us: blind respect and no expression of disagreement of any kind! Scary!
